Job Title: Press Operator

Position Summary:

Press Operator is a valuable role for our organization. As a Press Operator you would be responsible for pasta production equipment operation to drive maximum product output while maintaining ECP quality and safety standards. Additionally, you play a key role in preparing for shape changes according to the production schedule and ensure the proper blends of raw ingredients are used.

 

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review press and dryer machines for correct operational settings according to standard operating procedures; monitor and adjust production settings to achieve a scheduled poundage goal for each production run. Evaluate and correct machine stoppages without close supervision. Reports issues to Production Manager.

  • Continuously monitor and maintain lengths in short goods and patterns in long goods according to ECP specifications. Inform the Production Manager of any non-spec pasta that may require regrinding.

  • Prepare for shape changes according to the production schedule and ensure the proper blends of raw ingredients are used.

  • Assist in, or conduct, ingredient changeovers as directed by the Production Manager.

  • Assist in maintaining a detailed log of production events during each shift; maintain and review quality check sheets consistently during each shift.

  • Partner with Press Operator Assistant to clean-up machines issues during operation, as requested.

  • Report safety and food safety issues to the Production Manager.

  • Assist Lab Technicians with pasta samples for moisture testing by removing shorty goods products from machine process points three times per day

  • Conduct inspections, record, and report findings in the semolina tailings and report findings back to Mill via Production Manager.

  • Maintain dies (selecting, preparing, washing, storing) and perform additional die room duties (preparing ingredient hoppers, recording ingredient usage, proper disposal of containers, and superstack machine operation) in the absence of the die room attendant

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution OR 1-year experience in manufacturing in lieu of education

  • Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as needed

  • Previous experience operating equipment in a manufacturing setting, working with production line control computers

Press Operator

Job Title: Boiler Operator   

Department: Press

Reports to: Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $28.00/hour+

 

Summary

The Boiler Operator position is responsible for the daily operations of a High-Pressure Steam Boiler, which includes startups and shutdowns, monitoring operations, performing inspections and maintenance as needed.

 

Key Job Duties:

  • Performs daily operations of the boiler including startups and shutdowns.

  • Consistently monitors the daily operations of the boiler, documents readings, and data reports.

  • Performs routine inspections on the boiler to ensure efficient and safe operation.

  • Pull water samples, test water, and adjust chemical quantities for water softener system.

  • Identify and troubleshoot problems on boilers and boiler support equipment.

  • Perform maintenance on the boiler system as needed.

  • Follow all Enterprise CP’s General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.

  • Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance and boiler team to ensure smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications

  • 2B Boiler's License or higher required

Boiler Operator

Job Title: Receiving

Summary 

The Shipping/Receiving Material Handler is responsible for ensuring all products completed in packaging are appropriately labeled and put away in the proper location. Also responsible for staging orders and loading trucks. 

Key Job Duties: 

• Ensure material packaged are appropriately labeled and put away in the warehouse.  

• Stages loads for trucks scheduled for the next morning.  

• Communicates with shipping team and manager daily to stay updated on upcoming trucks and other priorities. 

• Understand and follow shipping/receiving procedure.  

• Produce accurate and legible paperwork.  

• Communicates with leadership throughout the shift to understanding what will be produced on the shift. 

• Complete daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts of the finished goods warehouse, to include identification and resolution of any discrepancies.

Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring inventory on the manufacturing floor and ensuring that all materials are

prepared pasta dinners. This individual will play a key role in generating new business opportunities, driving product
innovation, and working closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, and product development, to bring
new products to market.

Key Job Duties:
50% Product Innovation & Commercialization:
• Support the development of new pasta, macaroni and cheese, and dinner products from concept to
commercialization.

Summary
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Quality Leadership team in daily assigned duties. The Quality Supervisor will
communicate all quality concerns and/or deficiencies with management and plant personnel and is a driver of quality, safety, and
efficiency within the plant.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures and production paperwork.
• Ownership of the Document Control System and maintaining all documents, to include tracking of procedure training as well as
maintaining the Document Register.
• Assist in Food Safety and Quality Training as directed by Quality and Plant Leadership.
• Assist with updating individual product specifications for all finished products.
• Ensure new and changing raw materials and finished goods are appropriately documented, assisting in maintenance of the Food
Safety Plan.
• Submitting and receiving any required certifications and/or claims for finished goods.
• Handle customer sample requests and R&D sample requests for product evaluation, sampling and shipping of samples.
•Manage the completion of internal facility audits (GMP, RSPO, glass and brittle plastic etc.) and track corrective actions for completion.
• Help lead external (3rd Party and regulatory) audits and coordinating required follow-up actions.
• Log and track all quality holds, prepare deviation paperwork, and other documents for the Quality team.
• Track sanitation compliance and assist with cleaning validations as needed.
• Maintain QA Calibration compliance.
• Assist in the evaluation and resolution of customer product quality issues and complaints. Evaluate data and report findings to
leadership team for further communication and closure for the customers.
• Manage shipping of any required production samples to 3rd Party/external lab testing as required by the customer. Communicate the
testing results to the customer for product release.
• Handle routine water, air and Environmental Monitoring testing for the facility.
• Review incoming materials for release and manage non-conformance system.
• Manage implementation, updating and training for Redzone and Alchemy platforms as needed plantwide
• Assist in communication and working with Pest Control Representative for any follow up items and logging and tracking any open
items in the corrective action register.
• Report directly all quality related activities to the Quality Leadership team and assist in quality projects.
• Assist plant operations and maintenance teams in developing safety programs and documentation (example-Lock Out Tag Out, PPE,)
• Oversee quality technicians as direct reports
• Serve as back up for Quality Leadership and assist quality techs as required
• Follow company GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and all other quality programs.
• Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.

Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring products manufactured at the location are safe and comply with all
company, customer, and regulatory requirements. They will lead the site team in developing and maintaining a culture of best in class
Quality through their influence and coaching. The Quality Manager is directly responsible for the implementation of quality systems and
initiatives related to the production, packaging, receipt, storage, and release of food products manufactured within the facility. The
individual in this position must establish relationships with not only her/his direct reports but within all departments in the organization
to effectively cultivate a culture in which safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.


Key Job Duties:
• Responsible for all aspects of company Quality Assurance in compliance with local, state, and federal food safety standards.
• Helps to develop and maintain a culture in which quality production is top priority and a spirit of continuous improvement is
fostered.
• Monitors performance across production areas and works with area managers to improve performance on a continual basis in
response to risk assessment process, testing of incoming ingredients, outgoing products, observations and/or incidents.

Quality Manager

Job Title: Facility and Grounds Maintenance
Department: Maintenance

Summary
The Facility and Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general building and grounds maintenance as well as
maintenance on specified equipment in a timely and accurate manner. They will also assist with performing inspection and preventative maintenance, inspecting all machines, systems and equipment to ensure they are meeting operational standards and perform other tasks as needed.


Key Job Duties
• Perform seasonal snow removal on the sidewalks and entrances of the facility.
• Perform lawn mowing on the company grounds.
• Complete work orders for building upkeep such as patching holes, painting, demolition and some construction work.
• Complete HVAC filter changes and preventative maintenance for belts, ignitor and inducer motor swaps.
• Complete monthly fire extinguisher audits
• Perform weekly fire pump churn testing
• Assist Chief Boiler with preventative maintenance for utility equipment such as oil changes and belt changes.
• General cleaning duties including pressure washing as part of equipment fabrication process.
• Sort parts and maintain cleanliness and organization within the maintenance shop.
• Assist with 5S activities in maintenance shop
• Clean building equipment as needed
• General labor to complete work orders
• General plumbing repairs such as sink/drain/toilet repairs
• Performs planned, corrective and unplanned maintenance on specified equipment.
• Uses available documentation for equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Ensure safety in the work place by eliminating unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Supports Quality Systems.
• Protect Company assets by the direct intervention of any condition resulting in the abuse of equipment or buildings.
• Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance team to ensure smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications
• High school diploma, or GED
• Must be a self-starter capable of working in a team-based environment.
• 3-5 years of related experience in a food grade facility. Dry goods and high speed packaging experience preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
• To perform in this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of business software, and manufacturing software.
