Job Title: Press Operator

Department: Manufacturing

Reports to: Operations Manager

 

 

Position Summary:

Press Operator is a valuable role for our organization. As a Press Operator you would be responsible for pasta production equipment operation to drive maximum product output while maintaining ECP quality and safety standards. Additionally, you play a key role in preparing for shape changes according to the production schedule and ensure the proper blends of raw ingredients are used.

 

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review press and dryer machines for correct operational settings according to standard operating procedures; monitor and adjust production settings to achieve a scheduled poundage goal for each production run. Evaluate and correct machine stoppages without close supervision. Reports issues to Production Manager.

  • Continuously monitor and maintain lengths in short goods and patterns in long goods according to ECP specifications. Inform the Production Manager of any non-spec pasta that may require regrinding.

  • Prepare for shape changes according to the production schedule and ensure the proper blends of raw ingredients are used.

  • Assist in, or conduct, ingredient changeovers as directed by the Production Manager.

  • Assist in maintaining a detailed log of production events during each shift; maintain and review quality check sheets consistently during each shift.

  • Partner with Press Operator Assistant to clean-up machines issues during operation, as requested.

  • Report safety and food safety issues to the Production Manager.

  • Assist Lab Technicians with pasta samples for moisture testing by removing shorty goods products from machine process points three times per day

  • Conduct inspections, record, and report findings in the semolina tailings and report findings back to Mill via Production Manager.

  • Maintain dies (selecting, preparing, washing, storing) and perform additional die room duties (preparing ingredient hoppers, recording ingredient usage, proper disposal of containers, and superstack machine operation) in the absence of the die room attendant

  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education and Experience Required:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution OR 1-year experience in manufacturing in lieu of education

  • Must be able to work weekends, and overtime as needed

  • Previous experience operating equipment in a manufacturing setting, working with production line control computers

Press Operator

Job Title: Boiler Operator   

Department: Press

Reports to: Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $28.00/hour+

 

Summary

The Boiler Operator position is responsible for the daily operations of a High-Pressure Steam Boiler, which includes startups and shutdowns, monitoring operations, performing inspections and maintenance as needed.

 

Key Job Duties:

  • Performs daily operations of the boiler including startups and shutdowns.

  • Consistently monitors the daily operations of the boiler, documents readings, and data reports.

  • Performs routine inspections on the boiler to ensure efficient and safe operation.

  • Pull water samples, test water, and adjust chemical quantities for water softener system.

  • Identify and troubleshoot problems on boilers and boiler support equipment.

  • Perform maintenance on the boiler system as needed.

  • Follow all Enterprise CP’s General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company and regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.

  • Maintains communication (oral and written) within the maintenance and boiler team to ensure smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications

  • 2B Boiler's License or higher required

  • HS Diploma/GED preferred

  • Ability to read, speak and understand both oral and written instructions

  • Must be a self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Ability to think and use independent judgement in planning and organizing multiple tasks and information requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate strong initiative and follow through on day to day responsibilities

  • Ability to pass a background check & physical/drug screen

  • Experience in a food grade facility preferred specifically dry goods and high-speed packaging

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.

 

Knowledge and Skills

Must possess the knowledge and understanding of basic math skills including weight calculations, averages, and percentages.

Must be able to read and write in English.

Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel, have working knowledge in PowerPoint. Access knowledge a plus.

Boiler Operator

Job Title: Receiving 

Department: Warehouse

Reports to: Operations Manager 

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt  

Pay: $21.00-23.00/hour

 

 

Summary 

The Shipping/Receiving Material Handler is responsible for ensuring all products completed in packaging are appropriately labeled and put away in the proper location. Also responsible for staging orders and loading trucks. 

​

Key Job Duties: 

• Ensure material packaged are appropriately labeled and put away in the warehouse.  

• Stages loads for trucks scheduled for the next morning.  

• Communicates with shipping team and manager daily to stay updated on upcoming trucks and other priorities. 

• Understand and follow shipping/receiving procedure.  

• Produce accurate and legible paperwork.  

• Communicates with leadership throughout the shift to understanding what will be produced on the shift. 

• Complete daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts of the finished goods warehouse, to include identification and resolution of any discrepancies. 

• Responsible for cleaning shipping/receiving area.  

• Hold responsibility for food safety.  

• Understand warehouse layout.  

• Attend training when offered.  

• Understand the Hold policy and procedure.  

• Understand FIFO and lot coding.  

• Other tasks as assigned.

Receiving

Job Title: Machine Operator  

Department: Manufacturing

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Production Lead

 

 

Summary

The Operator will provide support and coverage to multiple areas of manufacturing floor. Strict compliance with the facility Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies and procedures is required. The Operator will also assist with inspecting all machines and equipment to ensure they are meeting operational standards and perform other tasks as needed.

 

Key Job Duties:

  • Operate equipment and assist with product movement, tracking and rotation.

  • Stock and supply assigned lines; ensure cleanliness of assigned area.

  • Assist with product movement in warehouse operations.

  • Receive, process and intake materials as needed for assigned area of operations.

  • Assure quality and safety standards are adhered to.

  • Perform sanitation tasks as assigned.

  • Assist other team members in completion of work. Record keeping, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent oral and written skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP's and safety documents.

  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

  • 2+ years of related experience in a food grade facility. Dry goods and high-speed packaging experience preferred.
